Description

We offer natural wormwood hydrolate for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the species Artemisia absinthium. The liquid is known as White Wormwood natural hydrolate for pharmaceuticals. The species has its place in the Asteraceae family, from which its related plants also originate. The crop is grown in fields in Bulgaria. Its composition is entirely natural, without preservatives and without colorants. The purity comes from the fields where the crops grow without agents against pests and without the application of artificial fertilizers to the soil beneath them. The natural regime leaves the ratio between the aromatic substances in the leaves as the plant itself creates it during its growing season. When heated with steam, the mobile soluble molecules pass into the aqueous phase, while the heavy compounds are retained in the residue of the harvested leaf mass. This separation determines the light character of the scent, so the profile remains transparent and without a heavy base. The spicy tone opens the scent, the herbal one carries it, and the sweet finish comes last. The strength remains at a medium level, since the water absorbs only part of the aromatic molecules. The shade of the distillate ranges between colorless and light amber, because the leaves transfer only a small part of their pigments to the water. The transparency of the liquid can be seen when it is viewed against daylight. The ducts along the vascular bundles in the leaf tissue take up the aromatic fraction and retain it until the actual heating of the raw material harvested from the fields. In addition, the glandular hairs on the leaf blade take part in the same accumulation of aromatic substances in the plant. The medium strength level keeps the herbal tone in the leading position without it displacing the sweet finish of the scent. The leaf raw material sets the spicy herbal character of the wormwood distillate.

Application
Wormwood leaf hydrolate is used in the development of liquid solutions for internal use, where its stable composition and characteristic herbal profile are valued. It is suitable for inclusion in oral liquids and syrup solutions, as well as in drop formulas that require good tolerability and even absorption. In sublingual solutions, the product is used as a plant ingredient that combines well with the other components of the formula. It can also be part of inhalation liquids with fine dispersion, as well as nasal solutions and sprays, where gentle application is important. Gargle and rinse solutions are another area in which the hydrolate brings mildness of action and ease of use. Oral sprays are complemented by its aromatic character, while liquid formulas for local application benefit from its compatibility with a wide range of ingredients. In pharmaceuticals, the product is also applied in the creation of suspensions and emulsions with uniform distribution, emulsion solutions with improved stability, and liquid concentrates intended for further processing. It is also suitable for solutions with a buffered structure, where the stability of the medium is decisive for the quality of the final preparation.
